Let me Introduce myself..

Hi Everybody, this is my first blog I ever created. I have planed long back to put up a blog about technology and my personal experiences, but couldn’t find time to do so, finally wow I created a blog.

My name is Ramraj, Software engineer, most of the time working on java application development.  And also I am very much passionate about internet and open source software. And also I started programming in Python, PHP, and Perl. Next Ruby is on the line as well, very excited about this and looking forward to..

I have worked in different verticals of software development i.e Retail domain, Insurance, Banking,  e-Commerce, web portals (portlets spec), mobile technologies. I had worked for global IT MNCs like Adea solutions, Societe Generale, and currently, working for Dell R&D India.

I like using open source software, and I always appreciate open source software development, because it gives you full freedom to use without any license restrictions and that to with out paying single rupee and more ever you have got a access to full source code. So, you can explore the others work, you can learn, and that’s pretty cool.

Below is the list of technologies till now I have worked on and familiar with..

  • HMTL/CSS/Javascript/AJAX

  • Tomcat
  • BEA Weblogic
  • Sun Application server ( now it is called as Glassfish application server)
  • Liferay portal server (JSR-168 portlet spec complaint server)

Database servers

  • Oracle 9i/10g
  • MS SqlServer
  • MySql
  • HSQL db

My hobbies are blogging, surfing internet, cricket, watching news specially debate shows, and dance shows. And I love blogging like a crazy :-)
